2017 Climate Survey

In the spring of 2017, Tulane University conducted a campus climate survey on sexual violence and harassment for all full-time undergraduate, graduate and professional students. The response was a true demonstration of our community commitment to this issue as nearly half of all Tulane students, 47%, completed the survey – among the highest rates in the nation. The results of this survey were released at a Town Hall in January 2018.  In conjunction with the climate survey, the university launched the Wave of Change in the fall of 2017 - a constellation of prevention and education programming, workshops and facilitated discussions for students, and expert panels with leaders from our own campus and beyond.  The survey review and feedback and insights shared through the Wave of Change campaign led to increased understanding of the circumstances and factors that are unique to Tulane and could reduce the perpetration and victimization of students. From this increased understanding, the All In initiative was launched in fall 2018 to provide a vision and plan forward for entrenching and expanding sexual violence prevention work here on Tulane’s campus.

In spring 2022, Tulane administered its second campus climate survey to all Tulane students and began preparing an updated All In 2.0 plan informed by the 2022 climate survey findings.  While this page will allow you to explore Tulane's 2017 climate survey data and previous prevention plans, we encourage you to also familiarize yourself with our most up-to-date data and prevention plan here.
